My studio meeting with the ladies from the Palm Springs Museum proved to be formidable. Unlike the strictly conformist attire of drably dressed kunstprofessionisten that inhabit the world's art capitals, this group was neither socially frightened nor suspicious of the conceptual significations of color and design. They also bought a painting for their permanent collection.
