I don't know why anyone would be interested in what an artist looks like or what they have to say about their appearance, except that appearance is often all that matters. Since I have frequently worked on the street, that's where I convinced Jason to photograph me. The resulting image reflects my experience with urban street life: most people oscillate between states of self-absorption and self- projection. Your thoughts are far away and right there. Appearances do matter, but no one is looking.
