The painting of David Salle is part of a four-painting cycle of seated figures. The first painting is of four different women. The second is four images of Christy Turlington, which is the painting that Visionaire exhibited and is the publicity image for Nuala. The third painting is four images of David Salle. The fourth is four images of gallerist Tracy Williams posing nude. The first two paintings have pink backgrounds. The other two have purple backgrounds (to indicate a night light). All four poses are approximately the same. As you can see from the photograph of David and me, we are on the floor. Painting on the floor was difficult for both of us. David was a real sport.
