Rosson Crow

Here I am in my studio in Burbank, California, with work headed to my first show in London. The Corvette was my grandfather's, and I inherited it when he passed away in 2007. He was so cool: he lived in a small town in Arkansas, bought the car when he was 92, and listened exclusively to Willie Nelson when he drove it. The car has a lot of meaning to me. L.A. has such a car culture, and the Corvette seems like an American icon. Interesting to see it with the oil-field painting. This photo really captures that all-American Texan in me.
